As world music director, I'm responsible for establishing and maintaining contacts with record labels and distribution companies, acquiring CDs for the station, maintaining “world” section of music library, coordinating promotions of local performances, and arranging artist interviews and on-air performances. From January 2001 to July 2003, served on station staff as acting Training and Operations Manager, responsible for training new volunteers, ensuring FCC compliance, and managing about 100 existing volunteers.
