Editing,
writing, copy editing, and proofreading for a variety of clients
ranging from book publishers to technical training organizations.
Work has included radio scripts, newsletter editing and layout,
creating Web page content, Web page management, press releases,
book editing, map and chart proofreading, photo captions, and
digital
photography. Interviews and profiles, both print and audio, have
been a recent focus.

Served in International News department with responsibilities including
generation of story ideas, communication with foreign correspondents,
editing, headline writing, graphics and photo selection, and coordination
on deadline. Previous to this edited the "Letters to the Editor"
page and coordinated the editorials and daily cartoon. Also wrote
news and features articles.

radio
World Music Director and show host
Host and producer of "Spin
the Globe" -- a weekly two-hour world music show. As
world music director, I'm responsible for establishing and maintaining
contacts with record labels and distribution companies, acquiring
CDs for the station, maintaining world section of
music library, coordinating promotions of local performances,
and arranging
artist interviews and on-air performances. From January 2001 to
July 2003, served on station staff as acting
Training
and Operations Manager, responsible for training new volunteers,
ensuring FCC compliance, and managing about 100 existing volunteers.
I've also served in other capacities for the station, with experience
in development and fundraising, program acquisition and scheduling,
public outreach, and audio production.
