2012-12-21 Music for the End of the World… And Christmas!

apocalypse-signWith celebrations of Christmas, Hanukkah, and Solstice, why do we seem to need a fake Mayan apocalypse to get excited? Whatever the reason, enjoy your end of the world party, then get up tomorrow and enjoy the world. Perhaps, as some say, it’s the end not of the world, but of an era — an era of selfishness, greed, and shortsightedness. And the start of an era of cooperation, peace, justice, and opportunity for all. That would make a nice holiday gift…

Today’s show included some holiday music, and also some new releases and other fun stuff. I was thinking about doing a doom-and-gloom apocalyptic show, but I guess that just isn’t in my nature. Enjoy the music, and tune in on Christmas morning when I’ll be filling in on Cover the Earth, also 10-noon on KAOS-fm. Happy holidays, and peace on earth, my friends.
