Spin the Globe's on-air 5th Birthday Bash!

Show Notes:
Hard to believe it's been five years already, but it's true! Spin the Globe first aired in September, 1998. Since then, we've brought listeners music from every nation on earth, and most of the ethnic groups that have recorded music. One listener called to say how much he appreciated what he learns from Spin the Globe about the music and people of the world. But it's not just educational, it's fun too. We heard upbeat, celebratory music from all over today, including our campy cover song of the week, Celia Cruz's version of "I Will Survive." May Spin the Globe survive another five years in your hearts and ears. Thanks for your support.

Most of the music played on Spin the Globe is available at cdRoots.com or CD Universe or the calabash.
