World Brass + new releases

Show Notes:
Spin the Globe has a soft spot for brass bands of all kinds. This week we indulged that fancy, and heard big brash brass band music from Benin, the USA, the UK, Germany, Serbia, and elsewhere. We closed the brass segment of the show with a German brass cover of the classic song "African Marketplace" by Abdullah Ibrahim, who's performing in Seattle November 1 as part of the Earshot Jazz Festival (see calendar).

Most of the music played on Spin the Globe is available at cdRoots.com or CD Universe or the calabash.
