Spin the Globe World Music

Spin the Globe Playlist for 25 March 2005
World Music for Spring + Markus James interview

* = Specific listener request/response

Show Notes: Many thanks to everyone who took an active role in KAOS's spring membership drive - we raised over $18,000 to keep the station bringing you the independent music and alternative voices you listen to KAOS for.

Spin the Globe marked the first week of Spring (yes, we're northern-hemisphere-o-centric this week) with music from all over the world, marking the transition from dark to light, cold to warm. We also spoke with Markus James about his new Mali-blues project Timbuktoubab, available in both CD and DVD formats. Plus some new releases and requests.

Most of the music played on Spin the Globe is available at cdRoots.com or CD Universe or the calabash.
